This 800 silver gift frame, crafted by the renowned Friedländer Brothers, was created to commemorate the silver wedding anniversary of Emperor Wilhelm II and Empress Auguste Victoria on February 27, 1906. Twenty-five years earlier, on the same date in 1881, the then Prince Wilhelm had married the Holstein Princess Auguste Victoria. The princely couple had become the imperial couple of the German Empire – a dynastic ascent impressively honored by this souvenir.

The frame features two portraits: the Emperor in an admiral's uniform with rich insignia, the Empress in a high-necked dress with a long pearl necklace. Below the images are the engraved signatures "Wilhelm" and "Victoria". The original glazing is preserved, as is the fineness mark half-moon/crown at the lower edge.

Particularly noteworthy is the paper label on the back: "Silver Wedding H.M. and I.M. 1906 – Gift from H.R.H. Calixta Agnes Pzss Waldemar v. P. 1967". This refers to the later transfer within the family: Princess Calixta Agnes von Lippe, wife of Prince Waldemar of Prussia, the eldest son of Prince Heinrich of Prussia, presumably received the frame as a gift. According to tradition, the picture was originally presented by Wilhelm II personally to his godson Prince Waldemar.

Measuring approximately 18 × 23.7 × 1.3 cm and in original condition, this frame is a rare testament to imperial commemorative culture, with direct provenance from the House of Hohenzollern.
